Jelle Valk is a graffiti artist, designer and visual artist, drawn to street art from a young age. Its culture, anonymity, speed and working with specific locations and close communities are a great source of inspiration for his work. (It’s no coincidence that WERC spelled backwards reads CREW.)

During his studies at Minerva Art Academy, Jelle’s focus moved to spatial design and communication. By experimenting with new media like augmented reality, Jelle is always looking for new ways to visually transform spaces. Questions about the ways in which space is experienced and how an artist can shape it fascinate him and are a constant factor in his work.

Only when a work is visually complete and every aspect fits in, no matter how small or big, Jelle considers it finished.
