Life & Times

How do you make sense of a world you barely understand?

Life and Times by theatre company ShELFISH shows the complexity of the difficulties faced by young people in closed youth care. In a mix of dance theatre, a narrative soundscape and a dynamic sculpture, Life & Times takes you into the complex labyrinth in which some young people find themselves.

For this performance, WERC designed the sculpture ‘Tensegrity’. A tensegrity model balances itself with pressure and tension forces. With this sculpture WERC represents the feeling of being under constant tension. The light sculpture is connected to the dancers of Life & Times and is itself a performer in the piece.
