ONE
ONE is a dynamic crossover of dance, theater, videography and live music that tells the story of a young woman living in isolation. This crossover is a co-creation between theater company Shellfish Productions and WERC.
ONE is a next step in the research that the members of WERC conducted together with a team of artists from Australia for Layer: a transglobal dance experiment during the global lockdown.
Using LiDAR cameras, WERC scanned dancer Olympia Kotopoulos in realtime, placing her in their self-created digital world. This digital world was composed of 3D pointclouds of cities and objects from all over the world, creating an immersive theatrical scenography in which visitors found themselves in a different world.
