RUG 400 GIFT FOR INFINITY

As part of the 400th anniversary of the University of Groningen, the university presented a unique multifilesl dance and music spectacle which was performed one-ff on the Broerplein in Groningen. In collaboration with the Noord-Nederlands Orkest (Northern Dutch Orchestra), dance company Club Guy and Roni and audiovisual artist Jan Klug, WERC gave their artistic vision of ‘Active Old is Gold,’ a study on participating in society and staying healthy.

For this collaboration, WERC made a combination between video and projection mapping on a building. The visuals were created in collaboration with audiovisual artist Jan Klug. For this project, WERC accurately mapped the Academy Building. In addition to the visuals and projection, WERC was also in charge of the lighting on the Academy Square.

In this collaboration, WERC proved to be a strong player in a multidisciplinary project. This project was also the starting signal for further collaborations with the dance company Club Guy & Roni.
