Internet artist Dries Depoorter is the first guest at WERC’s Artist Talks.

His playful way of commenting and researching through digital media has inspired our own art and way of working. The way he professionalizes his studio and talks about his work makes us look at our own work.

He is an artist who, using open data, machine learning, games and apps, to reveal systems of surveillance, appropriation and social media. His work reveals our place in the power dynamic of digital technologies that dominate our everyday life. It’s disruptive, playful and confronting.
