AR Graffiti 3.0 generates interactive visuals based on the audience’s movements, which frame and adapt to the outlines (contours) of physical murals, accompanied by an audio composition that harmonizes with the visuals.
AR Graffiti 3.0 is part of the AR Graffiti installation series. With the “AR Graffiti” series, WERC takes graffiti and street art to new dimensions. Graffiti is brought to life through video projections, where WERC applies the principles of digital media and explores the possibilities of augmented reality (AR) to elevate the aesthetics of street art.
AR Graffiti makes the endless number of choices a graffiti artist faces visible and transforms a static graffiti piece into an interactive and dynamic image, allowing the audience to modify the visuals and create compositions. With AR Graffiti 3.0 different choices can coexist, overlap, and interact simultaneously through the public’s involvement.

At WERC_in_Progress, we believe that sharing insights leads to better art. Digital art thrives on research, experimentation, and innovation. It’s about testing new techniques, refining them, and trying again. With this event, we’re opening up our process to the public. Our goal is to showcase not only the polished final pieces but also the creative journey—including inspirations, failed experiments, and developmental steps. This inaugural event focuses on AR Graffiti 3.0, an interactive installation where graffiti evolves into a dynamic digital experience. The visuals respond to audience movement, transforming graffiti into a living, responsive art form. Through AR Graffiti, we aim to extend the voice of traditional street art into the digital realm, creating a bridge between physical and virtual expression.
